... A lose yet definitive brush stroke builds images, and as the painting nears completion, the forms that once seemed lost reappear framed as vignettes in the negative space of other forms. Hiding in the background, a shape or movement of color peeks toward the outside world. The surface of the finished painting becomes an invitation asking the viewer to step inside and linger a while...
